Calibra Digital is a small independent web studio. I keep this policy short and plain because that is how I like to work. It explains what information I collect when you visit my site or get in touch, why I collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email me at hello@calibradigital.net and I will explain it properly.
I only collect what I genuinely need. When you use my contact form or email me directly, I receive the details you choose to share — typically your name, your email address, and whatever you tell me about your project. If a conversation moves forward, I may keep related notes and correspondence so I can pick up where I left off.
I also gather a small amount of basic, aggregated analytics about how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This is measured at a general level and is not used to identify you personally.
I use the information you send me to reply to your enquiry, to scope and carry out work you have asked about, and to keep in touch about a project while it is active. I use analytics to understand what is working on the site and to make it clearer and faster over time.
I do not sell your information, and I do not use it to build advertising profiles. I will not send you marketing you did not ask for.
My site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential and simply help the site function. Others support the basic analytics described above, so I can see how pages perform in aggregate. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time — blocking non-essential ones will not stop the site from working.
Running a studio means relying on a few trusted providers — for example, email hosting, website hosting, and analytics tools. These providers process some information on my behalf so that the basics work. I share only what is necessary, and I expect them to handle your information responsibly and in line with their own obligations.
I may also disclose information where I am genuinely required to by law. Beyond that, your details stay with me.
I keep information only as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected. Enquiries that do not lead to work are cleared out periodically. For active and past clients, I hold correspondence and project records for as long as I have a working relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards, so I can support the work and meet any legal or accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, I delete it.
You can ask me what information I hold about you, request a copy, ask me to correct anything that is wrong, or ask me to delete it. You can also object to certain uses or ask me to limit them. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law — I will honour those in good faith.
To make any of these requests, just email me. I will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for a straightforward request.
