sell the work, not the pitch

A concept for a film & television studio, Lantern Pictures — a letterboxed reel, a graded on-set hero, and a slate that reads premium before you press play.

the problem

A production studio's website has one job — make you trust it with a story — and most do the opposite: a wall of client logos, a reel that buffers, no point of view.

Lantern needed a site as considered as the films it claims to make.

the approach

I went cinematic and restrained: a letterboxed showreel frame, an elegant serif, a gold-and-ink palette, and real on-set photography graded to match.

The slate — the actual productions — reads as designed title cards, so it looks like a real body of work even where a film still might go later. Premium, calm, and confident.

cinematic, not busy

A letterboxed frame and elegant type do the selling — no autoplay, no clutter.

real craft, on show

Graded on-set photography proves there are actual hands behind the work.

a slate that reads premium

Production title cards, built in code, so the body of work looks complete from day one.
