Calibra Digital is a small independent web studio, and this policy is short and plain on purpose. It covers what I collect when you visit the site or get in touch, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email hello@calibradigital.net and I'll explain it properly.
I only collect what's genuinely needed — the details you choose to share through the contact form or a direct email, typically your name, your email address, and whatever you tell me about the project. If a conversation moves forward, I'll keep related notes and correspondence so nothing has to be repeated.
I also gather a small amount of basic, aggregated analytics about how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This is measured at a general level and is not used to identify you personally.
I use what you send to reply to your enquiry, scope and carry out any work you've asked about, and stay in touch while a project's active — plus a bit of analytics to see what's working on the site and make it clearer over time. I don't sell your information or use it to build advertising profiles, and I won't send marketing you didn't ask for.
My site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential and simply help the site function. Others support the basic analytics described above, so I can see how pages perform in aggregate. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time — blocking non-essential ones will not stop the site from working.
Running a studio means relying on a few trusted providers — email hosting, website hosting, analytics tools. These process some information on my behalf so the basics work, and I share only what's necessary, expecting them to handle it responsibly and in line with their own obligations. Beyond a genuine legal requirement to disclose something, your details stay with me.
Information stays only as long as it's useful for the purpose it was collected — enquiries that don't lead to work get cleared out periodically. For active and past clients, I hold correspondence and project records for as long as the working relationship lasts and for a reasonable period afterward, to support the work and meet any legal or accounting requirements. When something's no longer needed, I delete it.
You can ask me what information I hold about you, request a copy, ask me to correct anything that is wrong, or ask me to delete it. You can also object to certain uses or ask me to limit them. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law — I will honour those in good faith.
To make any of these requests, just email me. I will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for a straightforward request.
Questions about this policy, a rights request, or a concern about how information's handled — write to hello@calibradigital.net. I read everything myself and get back to you personally. This policy gets updated occasionally as tools or practices change, and the date at the top always reflects the latest version.
Write to me directly — I read every message myself and reply within a couple of business days.
